Reg. Massage Therapist
Branden graduated from the Massage Therapy Program at Academy Canada in St. John’s in 2016 and is excited to expand his knowledge through continuing education in his field. While in school, the clinic hours allowed him to treat a wide range of conditions and disorders.
Branden uses a variety of techniques when treating his clients including deep tissue massage, myofascial trigger point release, stretching, strengthening and most importantly educating his clients in the ways they can improve their quality of life in addition to massage therapy treatment and modalities. His professional interests include working with clients with sport-related injuries, chronic headaches, TMJ dysfunction, whiplash associated disorders, and neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.
Branden believes that treatment is very individualized and treatment is tailored to their specific impairments. Whether a client is injured in an athletic event, on the job, or just in day-to-day life, the primary focus of each massage therapy treatment will be on restoration of functional movement and pain control. He also believes in the importance of working as part of an interdisciplinary team including our team of physiotherapists.
Outside of work, Branden strongly believes in living an active, healthy lifestyle. He enjoys swimming, going to the gym, and kayaking. We are very excited to welcome Branden to our ActiveLife team! He will be providing services at our Deer Lake clinic as well as our outreach location in Pasadena.
