A community program where teams of 10-15 people combine their weekly mileage of walking, running, swimming and biking towards a chosen destination. Each participant contributes $5 per round which is collected for the team who arrives at the chosen destination first.  The best part- the total amount of money will be awarded to the winning team to go toward the charity of their choice. The goal of this program is to get participants MORE active than they were prior to the program! So far the response has been awesome with over 200 participants on the move!

Round one began late April with the first destination being Ireland which was roughly 3700km from Deer Lake. A few teams are almost there! Next stop- Greece!!

If any teams are interested in joining or if you would like more information regarding this program, please call the clinic at
635-9355 or email us at!

At ActiveLife, we believe in investing in our youth, especially through programs that are goal-oriented, team-oriented and that promote physical activity. Beginning this year, we have decided to help a community or school based team each year by monetary donation. In addition to this contribution, we have decided that all proceeds of our ActiveLife Active wear which includes t-shirts, will go towards this initiative.

This free monthly session led by a physiotherapist is designed for children between the ages of 0-3 and their caregivers. This hour long program focuses on physiotherapy led exercises and techniques to help your child in reaching developmental milestones.

This is an awesome opportunity to interact, learn and share ideas with other caregivers while learning things to help your child develop!

During the winter months, it can be very hard to get motivated to do physical activity outdoors...especially with all of the snow we get in Western NL. This past winter, the team at ActiveLife hosted a weekly outdoor snowshoe for people of all ages.  As a group, we tackled the snow for about an hour and then headed inside for warm refreshments.

As the season progressed, we had more and more people getting active with us outside! It was awesome! Stay tuned next winter for dates and times for our weekly snowshoe. For more info on this activity, call us at 635-9355.
